Everyone, please, this is important. The venue I grew up going to when I was a kid needs your help. It’s an all ages, substance-free safe space for kids to go to shows in Flint, Michigan. This is the place where I got my start in High School. I got to play with Benton Falls, Counterfit, Kid Brother Collective, and a number of amazing bands that helped shape my life- all because of the Local. My friend and I started up a webzine and we did a lot of our interviews and work there. I can’t tell you how much this place means to me and the community There is a lot of history there, and Flint really needs this place to stay open.
They were shut down by the city and had to fight for years and years to open the doors, and they finally did it this year, and it is so great for them to be open again! Now they are in the running to win a $5000 grant that would help out a tremendous amount, and all you have to do is click here to vote. It only takes a minute, but it would help out a lot! Thank you so much for your support, it means the world:
